ELECTRICAL INSTALLATIONS - READING

Electricity is used in almost everything we do today and has been of great importance for the growth of humanity.
The rational and conscious use of electrical energy involves everything from electrical design to efficient preventive maintenance. Current projects should contemplate building automation systems, control and measurement of energy quality to avoid waste and provide a reduction in energy consumption. Allied to this, it is necessary to use a capacitor bank to correct the low power factor in an installation. In many cases, the technical-economical feasibility analysis indicates that a ramp generator is installed to act at peak hours (when electricity is more expensive) in order to reduce the electricity bill.

In order to meet uninterrupted and essential loads (Datacenters, CPD, Hospitals, among others) a UPS system, which also has the line filter and stabilizer functionality, must be installed with batteries in order to guarantee the supply of electricity even in a fault coming from the concessionaire.

The electrical boards must be designed and dimensioned according to current technical standards and from calculations according to the establishment. This procedure is done to ensure they support short circuit currents, following the TTA (Type Tested Assembly) standards. A TTA panel is a product that has had its design, construction and effectiveness previously verified by type tests on prototypes identical to those is provided) or PTTA (Partially Type Tested Assembly with partially tested type tests) and have all life protection devices (DR - Residual Differential Device, DPS - Transient overvoltages) and safety locking and locking systems, diagrams and identification.

The electrical circuits must be designed and calculated according to the standard using the criteria of calculation of voltage drop, short circuit, circuit grouping and type of insulation of the conductors. It is also known that in places with high public affluence, places with high occupancy density and / or difficult escape conditions such as: shopping malls, hospitals, cinemas, theaters, among other commercial establishments should use non-halogenated cables (Low smoke zero halogen or low smoke free of halogen - LSZH, LSOH, LS0H, LSFH or OHLS).
